Job Function:

Responsible for procurement of materials, services, and supplies as well as capital expenditures. Execute in a manner that optimizes total cost, meets customer specifications and Brunk quality standards, and satisfies customer delivery requirements. Support operations, new product development, and business process improvement activities.

Job Responsibilities:

   Manage procurement process for raw materials, services, MRO, and equipment to support and maintain operations.

   Negotiate and resolve issues related to quality, cost, delivery, and risk mitigation.

   Provide forecasts to suppliers to ensure adequate supply of materials for long lead-time programs.

   Track and report supplier performance in key areas such as quality, delivery, cost, technology, and risk. Develop continuous improvement initiatives to enhance supplier performance, reduce total cost, and mitigate risk.

   Establish and maintain purchasing data, metrics, and standard costs.

   Provide purchasing support to all functional groups and ensure purchasing participation in all areas related to meeting business requirements.

   Provide regular reports to management on market trends, condition of supply base, business metrics, and issue resolution.

   Work with management to implement strategic initiatives and build supplier partnerships.

   Manage process to identify new suppliers, request quotes, and analyze bid packages.

   Ensure execution of corporate quality procedures and departmental processes.

Job Skills:

          Superior communication, organization, and administrative skills required

          Proficient in use of Microsoft Office applications and Microsoft Dynamics AX (or similar) ERP software

          Ability to communicate effectively with external customers and suppliers

          Ability to analyze and present data

          Ability to multitask and adapt priorities quickly

          Ability to interface with all areas of the company and effectively coordinate with cross-functional team members to achieve resolution of issues

          Demonstrated business and industry acumen

          Knowledge of prints and specifications

Education and Experience:

          Minimum five years prior purchasing experience in a manufacturing environment

          Degree in Business Administration with purchasing (or related area) emphasis in place of purchasing experience

          Metals Industry experience/knowledge preferred

          Regulated Industry experience/knowledge helpful

Work Environment / Physical Requirements / Protective Clothing Required:

          Work is in an office and manufacturing environment with noise and some grinding dust. Must be able to perform light lifting.

          Must wear safety glasses while in production areas.
